THE TRUTH BEHIND THE WORD "BEAUTY"
Humans in general have been so much concerned about beauty for ages. “I don’t really care if I look beautiful or not” _ said no one ever. However, who isn’t concerned about the appearance of his or her skin? Acne, wrinkles and fine lines, sunburn, hyper-pigmentation/ hypo-pigmentation, puffy eyes, I mean those are just a few to mention. Some go for expensive skincare routine to get that perfect look like that in the “polished and photoshopped magazine”. Only to realize its not working like that for them. Yes, you cannot be like the one in the beauty mag because the photos are being computerized! But if you can literally enter into the computer for your skin to be photoshop, why not! But sadly, it’s not possible.
In our days, however, the internet is full of popular quotes and sayings about beauty and skincare. Well, I love some of them because they really spark the energy in me to work on my beauty and appearance in order to bring that confidence in me. I’m sure you also got a lot of these quotes and like me, you love most of them. Okay, so let’s get started with few of them..
Popular quotes and sayings about beauty:
“Beauty is in the skin! Take care of it, oil it, clean it, scrub it, perfume it and put on your best clothes, even if there’s no special occasion, and you’ll feel like a queen”
Fatema Mernissi
“Invest in your skin. It’s going to represent you for a very long time”
Renee Rouleau
“Beauty is confidence applied directly to your face”
Iman
“But first, Skin care”

Women of all ages around the world are more and more aware than before of the many factors that contributes or must combine to create “beauty”. What do you think these factors are? Can you think of any? mmm well… we have something called…
- Foundational Beauty & Enhancement Beauty { These two makes you look beautiful}
- Wellness Beauty & Emotional Beauty {These two makes you feel beautiful.
Okay so, let’s first discuss these factors that make up the foundational beauty & the enhancement beauty which make us look beautiful. These are the color cosmetics of all shades (makeup, skincare, hair color, fashion accessories, our style, etc.. that women of all ages tend to play with when they want their beauty to go the next level.
Secondly, we have Wellness beauty and Emotional Beauty which makes us feel beautiful. This entails taking some beauty vitamins, wellness pills and medications. Furthermore, cultivating a healthy sleep habit (sleeping beauty), staying out of the sun, having a habit of removing makeup before sleeping, getting enough exercise, eating the right food, cultivating the right diet, Confidence, intelligence, talent, and more.
Majority of women around the world believe that if they look more beautiful, then they will feel more confident and healthier. So, if they feel and look more beautiful, their confident will shine through for everyone to see, which will make them feel more physically attractive.
How do you define beauty?
In my own opinion, it’s not only about how you look. But how you feel about yourself too. If you love the skin you’re in, the color of your hair, the style or way you dress up, or how you carry yourself in all these regards, you’re just sexy!
However, when I put on some makeup, It’s about what I do look like and how I feel, feeling comfortable in my skin, and enhance who I am, which is the beauty that already exist in me. You have to embrace yourself, embrace your age no matter what the color of your skin you have , the color of your eyes, the color of your hair. Anyone can make themselves look and feel absolutely beautiful! In addition to this, the most beautiful person is the one with a big heart, a kind spirit full of love and care and making other people smile no matter what they’re personally going through. That’s real beauty!

I love how you talk about the definition of beauty. That beauty is not all about how you look but how you feel about yourself. I believe that is key . You have to love yourself first before you can feel confident love this post so much . So true.

Hi Arteria! You’re definitely right!
Andrea Capone
Great and inspiring article! As I read it I thought about how I don’t ever like to have my picture taken because I think I don’t photograph well at all. It makes me sad because I feel like I can’t be in pictures. Often if I feel like I look good on the outside, THEN I feel good on the inside. I wish it was the other way around, because I know I’m very beautiful inside. Not sure how to train my brain to do this in reverse? Thanks for sharing your thoughts. They are encouraging!

Hi Andrea! Trust me you’re very beautiful. Real Beauty is about how you feel about yourself.
Someone might be very beautiful, but she might start feeling
something is wrong with her beauty. But, when there’s nothing wrong at all.
We live in an era where some of our fellow women will do almost anything at all
to go get medical procedures so they’ll look beautiful. But trust me, many have regretted in the long run.
Cultivate confidence, love yourself more, a little makeup to enhance your beauty isn’t bad. You’ll see the difference
later.
